Cocoa is one lucky pup- he came to a local shelter with a female companion who has since found another rescue group.  Cocoa soon became a favorite of the shelter staff and they sent out multiple pleas to save him and find him a new family.  The kind-hearted folks at PAL have now taken this sweet boy into their care in the hopes of finding him a terrific home. 

 Cocoa is a handsome male Shar-Pei with a winning personality.  He has had a problem with his eyes being irritated by his eyelashes along with a cherry eye and needs surgery.  This condition (entropian) is common in his breed and easily corrected.  Despite being uncomfortable from his eye problem, he is fitting in well in his foster home and is quite the charmer.  A gracious, thankful guest and a perfect gentleman, Cocoa has adapted well to his temporary home and is already house-broken.  This deserving dog will soon get his eye surgery thanks to the PAL people.  After a quick recovery, Cocoa will be ready for adoption after Feb 25th and will be looking at the world with new eyes after that!  He’s sure to be looking for the home he has dreamed of and will be a terrific new member to a loving family.  His surgery will cost over $350.  Please help him and our many other deserving pets who depend on us to care for them.
