Betsy
Betsy
was probably dumped in the country because she has Demodectic (non-contagious)
mange. If you notice her coat in these pictures, there is a lot of hair
loss and you might be able to see the redness in her skin. Her condition was so
bad, she had deep cracks under her muzzle that bled; her skin was very red
and swollen. She is already doing better after two dips, but she will need at
least 4 or 5 more to be clear. In a couple of months, her coat will be coming
back in and she'll be absolutely adorable, but for now, she needs lots of
TLC. Betsy is an American Staffordshire terrier mix, weighs about 40 lbs &
is just over one year old. She is very playful and affectionate. Update: Betsy has been adopted to a wonderful caring home. PAL's will still be accepting donations on Betsy's behalf to go towards all the medical attention she obtained to be able to get her second chance at life. Please keep in mind we also have many other pets receiving medical attention in order to have wonderful homes like Betsy. Thank you for your support.
