Lola was rescued from a local shelter along with her brother, Bear.  About a week later her brother died very unexpectedly and Lola was rushed to our vet.  Lola’s symptoms were indicative of parvo although her test came back negative.  The vet hospitalized her for 4 days and she was much better after that.   She is now in foster care and we are watching her very closely.  We have renamed her Lola Bear (her new middle name) after her brother.  We are very sad that he couldn’t be saved as well. (Her vet care has cost over $200 so far.)
